Purchased two of these units based on reviewes I read like this, appears to be a fine item for the money. I have had no problems and I feel you can overspend for pricer items like this and they do nothing more.Cyberpower 850 8-Outlet Surge Suppressor - 2400 Joules 15A RJ11 EMI/RFI
It is also quite sturdy. I looked at quite a few other surge suppressor power strips before settling on this one. From what I was able to come up with, this strip has a high enough rating for Joules and a price that makes sense. I'm using it for a 42 inch plasma, a DVR and a Sony surround sound system. If I were going to spend a lot of money on a surge suppressor, I'd consider a whole-house system rather than an expensive unit that plugs into the wall.
Great price for a great product. Bought two. You will have no problems with large plugs and the unused outlets cover-up to keep my kids fingers out.
Not much to surge suppressors, but having larger spaces for all the bulky transformer plugs helps a lot. Build quality is good. No complaints about this.
I bought this product for our entertainment system setup, and it works great. We have the 50" tv, satellite receiver, surround system, and other miscellaneous little things plugged up to it, and it's been working great so far.
